100 días más!!!

In exactly 100 days I will return to Guatemala to begin my second internship with Orphan's Heart!!! God has blessed me so much with the opportunities I've had to serve Him alongside some amazing people and I can't wait to do it again!! I want to thank everyone who has been there for me during my previous trips and supported me in every way. I couldn't ask for better family and friends. I love you guys!!

In preparation for my internship, there are many things I need to do, and you all can help! The first thing I need is prayer...prayer that God will provide for this trip, prayer that He will watch over me and everyone else as we travel to, from, and around Guatemala, prayer for the women (and 2 men) who work in the center everyday, and, most of all, prayer for the children and their families. It is very hard for these families to leave their children, as it would be for any family, but they know the center is the best chance their children have at a healthy life. Pray for the families to stay strong and trust that God will take care of their children and that the children will regain their health and that when they do their families will be able to care for them so they may continue to live a long and healthy life.

The second thing I need is financial support. As you can imagine, trips to Guatemala can be quite costly. I am doing everything I can to save money and participating in as many fundraisers as possible, but I still need to raise more support. This trip will cost a total of around $3500, including airfare. If you are able to help in any way it would be greatly appreciated, more than you could ever know. You will not only be helping me, you will be helping nearly 100 children in Guatemala receive nourishing meals and the care and love they so desperately need.

I have no doubt that God will provide the way for me to return to my heart's true home again. Thank you all so much for supporting me in any way you can. I cannot express how grateful I am to have such an amazing group of people behind me.

The dates for my upcoming internship are September 20 through November 1, 2013. I will be serving with one other intern and six different teams (1 each week) to help support the nannies in caring for the children.

I will update this blog with my progress in raising the funds for my internship, as well as updating often while I am in Guatemala so you can all see how you are helping these amazing kids. Thank you all so much for everything!
